Sh Gangadhar ji Khatod was born in July 1910, in Jodhpur in the family of Sh Kalu Ramji and Smt Jethi Bai. He did his primary schooling from Jodhpur. He did his metric and certificate course in civil engineering from Sakkar, Sindh, Pakistan. He initially served as subordinate engineer for Jodhpur His Highness at Rai-Ka-Bagh Palace and Sadarsamand Palace for 4 years, later served for 35 years at Jodhpur, Jaipur,Sirohi, Mt Abu, Barmer, in PWD, Rajasthan Government and retired as AEN from Jaisalmer in 1971. During his service he received many certificates for his outstanding work. He then got re-employment for 5 years in Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti, Jodhpur.

He had one brother ( Sh Shivlalji and one sister ( Smt Govindi Bai ) and four sons ( Er Bhanwar Lal Verma Retd XEN PWD, Ghanshyam Kumawat Retd FCI, Yogendra Varma MBA, Dr Khem Raj Verma MD )and one daughter ( Late Manju ). He efficiently ran our Charbhuja Niwas as a Guest House in Mt Abu for more than 12 years.

He left for Heavenly Abode on 16th October, 1992.
